Working and studying within the UM Biomedical cluster at the Randwyck location requires many rules and regulations to guarantee the safety of a guest.
Safety includes many aspects:
– safety of the building and its equipment,
– safety of working with hazardous substances,
– safety for goods and possessions,
– safety for the environment,
– safety in the environment of the site.
The structure of the organisation arround safety is being designed and further developed within the CRISP Department of Facilities. A safe work- and study environment has a high priority. This is being designed with the help of education and instruction, with primary officers at the departments: ‘armicos’ – occupational health and environmental care officer, and by audits and the Risk Inventory and Evaluation instrument.
